In todays session, we had to edit the footage together of the My Generation clips we filmed last friday, unfortunately however, mine crashed during the process so I lost my footage.
Even though this has happened, I really hope our group does not choose to do all the footage of a band or person lip syncing, because it's a lot of effort and you can't always assure that the performer will get the right verses.
What I have noticed before doing this though is that professional artists do not mime the lyrics, they sing it out loud, I think that this probably helps when the editors of the footage need to sync it together, because you can hear both the audio and the voice to help go with the lip movements, it can also mean the performer should be in perfect timing with the actual lyrics and is not just mumbling along.
