On tuesday's session, Jasmine came to speak to us about her music video history, she won BBC's Blast 2010 award to produce a music video as part of her A Level Media.
She was given a £3000 Bursary to create a music video for a song of the BBC's choice.
The video which won her the award was this;
I understand why this video won the award, it's quirky and uses interesting angles and mise en scene throughout, also the song choice seems like it could've been a hard song to think up a pitch for and lip syncing ideas.
The video which she produced with her Bursary was a much more well known song, The Wombats- Lets dance to Joy Division, however in my opinion I find her original video a lot better than the BBC one, although it had the camera work, Jasmin herself was not allowed to edit the video, I find this one of the large flaws for the video project.
