Ancillary Practice task.

In today's first session, we have been assigned to create a Digipak for a song and band from a list provided by Steve.

The list seemed to be a variety of different tracks, some we have heard of, some we haven't.
The list seems to contain two of my favourite bands however.

The song I am given is Glorious Day- Amsterdam.
I personally have never heard of this song before but I have the band, so when I heard the song it was confusing because Amsterdam are an all male indie style band although the song I have been provided is female vocals, so I'm not too sure if this is a mistake or not.

On Flickr, Steve has made it available to download a digipak template.

For my digipak, I decided to use a variety of different filters provided by photoshop but ran a similar theme throughout.

I used images from the band's myspace as bases for the pictures.

Here's my digipak;

Overall, I'm not too keen on the whole thing, some things work but some things don't and I don't find the whole colour and effects really go with the song itself.

Their original album art looks like;

I realised that they also used a grain effect however it seems a lot more peaceful than my edgy look.
