Professional video that just doesn't work;

My boyfriend forces me to watch scuzz with him, but I came across an interesting video:

As you can see, they obviously wanted an old filmreel effect during parts of the video(like us), but the problem is, like Nick stated to me whilst going through effects, theirs are too digital, they mix the broken filmreel with bad signal style effect and it just doesn't work. They also have a creepy girl in the video , but again this sequence is all in sepia and has broken film, but when she dissapears it's a digital effect added on.
Another problem I find with this is that when they are in the house location, you can tell how small the set is, and I hate noticing this in professional videos, unless it is purposely done, however if it is then it's not too clear for the audience.
For the band's performance they have used a similar location to us, a barn, however it is a lot more clear in their video than ours.
